The Baltic Lagoon is large enough to give the impression of the open sea, but it is a completely new experience and sensation to see such a vast volume of water completely frozen. There is still a 'seabreeze' - but no movement.
On the other side of the Curonian spit however, the Baltic Sea has almost completely de-frosted, and only a few thawing 'sea-pancakes' are left. These environmental observations are coming from Laurie's current residency at Nida Art Colony in Lithuania.
